Ablaze Web DAW
Building a digital audio workstation from scratch for the browser, for Ablaze Audio.
The challenge
Following the Screamer VST port, Ablaze Audio wanted to go further: a full digital audio workstation that runs entirely in the browser, built from the ground up rather than adapted from an existing plugin.
The approach
- Architecting the DAW's core audio engine in TypeScript and WebAssembly for real-time performance
- Building the interface in React and Tailwind CSS
- Designed to plug directly into plugins already ported to the web, like the Screamer VST
