The idea

A studio site needs a real showcase behind it: an interactive hero that makes the tagline believable, and a proper system for publishing new work, not a stack of hand-written one-off pages.

The approach

Everything runs on Next.js and React, with the portfolio, timeline and toolbox on the about page all generated from a single set of MDX files rather than hand-written. Add a new project or job, and the site updates itself: no duplicate bookkeeping.

• A real 3D scene in the hero, built with React Three Fiber: a river with a refractive water surface, swaying grass and small drifting details, reacting gently to the cursor
• A chronological, connected timeline through the work grid instead of a flat list
• Project pages, an about page and a contact form, all statically generated and fast

The result

A studio site that is, itself, a portfolio piece: proof that the balance between craft and performance still holds.
