Full-stack development on school management systems used daily across Dutch education.

The role

At RYSST I worked as a full-stack software engineer on school management systems (for Cloudwise): software that teachers, administrators and students in Dutch education rely on every single day.

What I did

Full-stack feature development with Spring Boot and Java on the back end
Front-end work in Angular, from components to complex data views
Worked in Scrum teams: sprints, refinements, reviews and everything in between
Production software with real stakes, from uptime and data integrity to usability for non-technical users

What it taught me

Professional engineering discipline: writing code that a team maintains for years, communicating clearly across roles, and shipping reliably within an Agile process. Exactly the rigor I now bring to freelance projects.
