Supervised practical sessions and graded assignments for Utrecht University's Web Technology course.

The role

During my studies at Utrecht University I worked as a teaching assistant for the Web Technology course, the course where many students write their first line of HTML, CSS and JavaScript.

What I did

Supervised practical sessions, helping students debug and understand their first web projects
Graded assignments with feedback meant to teach, not just score
Answered the endless, wonderful "but why does it do that?" questions

Why it's on this list

This is where I discovered how much I enjoy explaining the ideas behind code. That thread runs through everything since: mentoring at Winc Academy, and the way I communicate with clients today. No black boxes, just clear explanations.
